ESL: IEM Rio 2026 qualifiers will continue with a new patch

The remaining matches of the IEM Rio 2026 Counter-Strike 2 closed qualifier   will be played on the latest version of the game after an update. Tournament operator ESL announced this on social media.

Following this night’s update, we can confirm that all future matches will be played on the latest patch. This change will take effect today, starting with the ongoing IEM Rio 2026 Closed Qualifiers.Source: 

On the night of January 22nd, an update was released in Counter-Strike 2, launching the fourth season of Premier mode. Additionally, the developers made changes to the Anubis map, rebalanced weapons, and released new skins.
