The Most Underrated Counter-Strike Players

A good Counter-Strike player isn’t always about high stats or media exposure. Throughout the game’s history, there have been numerous esports players who were written off for one reason or another. In this article, we’ll highlight the five most underrated professional CS players.

Tomas oskar Stastny

Our list of the most underrated CS players starts with oskar . Throughout his long professional career, the Czech sniper has consistently demonstrated a respectable level of play. His peak came in 2016, when he moved from HellRaisers to MOUZ. However, Tomas never fully realized his potential.

What’s the reason for this? It’s not entirely clear. Perhaps the player himself made poor decisions in certain situations. Or perhaps the clubs he played for didn’t trust him 100% and ended up relying on other players. As a result, oskar has slipped not even to a tier-2 spot on the scene, but to a tier-3 spot. What the 32-year-old Czech esports player truly deserves credit for is continuing to play CS and enjoy it.

Justin jks Savage

Next on our list is Australia’s best player. After conquering his home region, Justin set out to conquer North America. He initially struggled with 100 Thieves, and then with Complexity Gaming. Next came the European stage with G2 Esports, but he was kicked from there, too.

What could possibly be wrong? After all, throughout his career, jks has posted excellent statistics and regularly won important rounds. The main problem was that Justin simply wasn’t in his element. And here, the problem most likely lies not with the player himself, but with the club management, who signed contracts based solely on stats and disregarded the team’s chemistry. If jks finds a tier-one team that believes in him, the results will be fantastic.

Lukas Bubzkji Andersen

At one time,  Bubzkji was considered one of the leading talents of the Danish CS:GO scene, but at some point, something went wrong. The critical moment was his departure from MAD Lions and joining Astralis as a sixth man. At first, Lucas had at least some playing time, but gradually it disappeared completely, and he simply spent his time on the bench.

Thus, he failed to realize his potential. Bubzkji could have fit perfectly into the Heroic roster under cadiaN, but no. So what? Lucas now regularly works in the analytics studio at various major tournaments.

Audric JACKZ Jugues

JACKZ proved that intense desire and dedicated training are the keys to success in the pro scene—the French esports player joined a tier-one team at just 26 years old. He excelled as an entry fragger while playing for G2, but was benched a year later due to his poor English.

Yes, JACKZ wasn’t known for his outstanding individual stats, but he did a lot of the dirty work on the server, which benefited the team. It’s fair to say that Audric was a victim of the lack of good French teams and his poor English skills.

Viktor sdy Orudzhev

sdy is a very driven and hardworking player. He gave 100% to every team. Yes, he was valued, but not enough to warrant clinging to him at all costs. His time with Team Spirit was stable, but without much success. Three months with MAD Lions turned out to be a complete waste of time. But what happened next was truly interesting.

Viktor moved to Natus Vincere and immediately won the first tier-1 trophy of his career. What followed were six months of inconsistency, as he was still listed as a stand-in. Ultimately, sdy never quite fit B1ad3’s playstyle and moved to Monte. Together with Monte, he made a real splash, and in a very short period of time, they transformed from a tier-2 team to a tier-1 one.

Despite all their success, just a year later, sdy and Monte decided not to renew their contracts. This decision remains a mystery to this day. Viktor is currently searching for a new team to which he can bring his vast experience and consistent level of play.
